My Approach

My approach to counseling involves an individual and holistic approach. Counseling is for you, the client. Each session will be geared toward meeting your desired outcome goals and personalizing the counseling experience to meet your needs, right where you are at. I utilize a combination of somatic and mindfulness based approaches with talk therapy approaches to help calm and relax the body while working through past traumas, hurts, and transitions.

Tools I Use

I primarily use Forward Facing Trauma Therapy, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), somatic experiencing techniques, psychoeducation about the brain, body, and nervous system, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Narrative Therapy. As a Christian, I believe in the power of prayer and faith based approaches to counseling. If this is the right fit for you, we can use these methods in your sessions upon your signed consent.

Clients I Serve

I work with children, teenagers, adults, and seniors who are looking to find treatment from the following issues: attachment trauma, unresolved childhood trauma, birth trauma and perinatal/postpartum depression, posttraumatic stress disorder, depression and anxiety, stress management, substance and alcohol use disorders, foster care and adoption, Christian counseling, grief counseling, play therapy, and art therapy.
