About Me
Hello there! My name is Kimberly Langford and I am both a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) and a Licensed Associate Substance Abuse Counselor (LASAC) in the state of Arizona. Through Liberty University I received a BS in Psychology and Christian Counseling (2016), a BS in Psychology and Addiction Counseling (2016), and a MA in Addiction Counseling (2018). I have also received two trauma certifications through the Trauma Institute International pertaining to individual trauma and addiction trauma. My work in the field of behavioral health began in 2016 and has continued to expand to meet the needs of individuals receiving treatment for alcohol and drug use disorders, children and families that are a part of the foster and adoption system in the state of Arizona, and children, teenagers, adults, and seniors that are navigating unresolved trauma.
The services I offer are rooted in Christ-centered, Biblical truth integrated with continued education and increasing knowledge in neuroscience, somatic experiencing work, and forward facing trauma therapy principles. My work is also grounded in attachment theory paired with the use of narrative therapy and mindful regulation.
I was born and raised in Prescott, AZ and I enjoy raising my daughter, Adley and my son, Teddy here alongside my husband, Tyler (who is also a counselor). Outside of the counseling setting, I enjoy spending time with my family, drinking quality coffee from one of our local coffee shops, spending time with friends, and enjoying time at home where we have four cats and two dogs to snuggle with.
